Gearing Up for Another Joyful Holiday Season

November is here and the holidays are just around the corner. We have several opportunities this year for those looking to support our holiday programs at Emmaus House.

Thanksgiving at Home

What it is

Every year, with your help, we distribute more than 300 turkeys and bags of groceries to families in need, so they can enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving at home with those who matter most.

How you can help

We’re seeking ingredient bag donations so families can prepare their favorite side dishes to go with the turkeys we’ll be providing.

We’re also seeking volunteers to help distribute food on Tuesday, November 24 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. For more information, visit our website or contact Beverly Banks-Greene at beverlygreene@emmaushouse.org.

Children’s Christmas Festival

What it is

Join Emmaus House on December 19 for a festive morning of gift-giving, fun activities, and delicious treats with Southeast families.

How you can help

We’re seeking gift donations to ensure every participating child has a gift to open, as well as wrapping paper, gift bags, bows, and tape.

For those interested in helping Santa’s elves wrap presents this year, we also have a limited number of volunteer opportunities. For more information, please reach out to Rakia Reeves at rakiareeves@emmaushouse.org.

Celebrating Together

The holidays are a special time at Emmaus House, and we’re so grateful to everyone in our community who comes together to ensure our neighbors can celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas with warmth and dignity.
